Gyron was founded in March 2000, and offers a full range of colocation, managed services and connectivity services.
Our hosting facilities are based at the London Hosting Centre (~200 racks), in the Docklands, East London, and the Centro datacentre facility (~500 racks) in Hemel Hempstead.
Conveniently located close to the M1 and M25, the Centro facility is set within a secure private 50,000 sq ft compound and has 3MVA of HV power through redundant connections, and multiple fibre providers on-site. The facility has been fitted out to a high specification, with all infrastructure installed with a minimum of N+1 redundancy, and certain key elements at 2N. A state-of-the-art IP CCTV system and access control system form part of the comprehensive security arrangements, including man-traps, interlocked doors, and biometric iris scanners.
Colocation space is available from individual racks up to private suites, complemented by a wide range of connectivity and management services. All power, cooling and connectivity services are covered by comprehensive 100% uptime Service Level Agreements.
We have four further network POPs in different data centres around London, connected by our own private dark fibre ring, overlaid with a state-of-the-art DWDM network, supporting multiple 1gbps and 10gbps connections. We have redundant multi-gigabit connectivity to multiple Tier-1 transit providers, as well as multiple gigabit peering links to the London Internet Exchange (LINX), running on the latest Juniper MX routing platform. We also operate a dedicated MPLS backbone connecting the LHC to our new Centro facility, providing customers with transparent network backhaul services.
