		<description>Hey Mark

Our philosophy has always been that rather than cooling the hosting suite, what we really want to do is extract the heat from the air that the servers warm up. Hot aisle containment allows us to feed the hot air directly in to our CRAC units, which is then cooled and returned to the room at neutral temperatures.

We believe that this offers several advantages over forcing cold air in to the front of the servers and using the entire room as a hot air plenum. Two big ones are we can run the fans on our CRAC units much slower as there is no pressurization occurring, and also that the hosting environment is a lot more pleasant to work in (to get good efficiencies you want to get the hot air to ~30C)!

We&#039;re always happy to show potential customers around -- just drop an email to sales@gyron.net!

Cheers

		<description>Hey Robin,

Interesting to see you use Hot aisle containment, rather than cold. Was there any particular reason for that ? ( Can&#039;t see any cold aisle vents in the floor, is that why ?? ). Would be great to come and have a nosey round your site sometime, if that&#039;s at all possible ?? ( There may be a point next year - 2011 - that we have to look at housing some of our kit elsewhere ).
